This Section has the following functions and responsibilities:
- providing legal advice relating to governance of the University as a Body Corporate including the roles of the Board of Directors, Senate, and other University Authorities, and the roles and responsibilities of the officers, teachers and employees of the University within the ambit of the Constitution of the University;
- handling the drafting and preparation of instruments and legal documentation including the drafting of statutes, rules and regulations of the University;
- handling the drafting and preparation of instruments for certain transactions involving University and third parties;
- providing legal advice relating to the matter of the University immovable properties including the acquisition of University land.
